Boca Raton artist Dorene Ginzler’s oil, watercolor and mixed media collage paintings have been selected by the Art in Public Places program of the City of Boca Raton for exhibit and sale at the Spanish River Public Library (SRL), through February 4, 2018. The project is supported by the Friends of the Library Gallery and curated by Victoria Sheridan and are shown in the SRL Gallery on the second floor elevator lobby during library hours. There are 13 works for sale. Ginzler’s work “is all about color,” as the show is named. For Ginzler, one of the over-riding themes in her work is the spectacular influence both nature and the sea have profoundly impacted her use of color shape composition and light. “Mixing endless color possibilities with spontaneity in painting takes on a spirituality and beautiful life of their own,” says Ginzler. “The colors and shapes speak for themselves.” She is represented by the European gallery AVA Galleria. Her most recent group show was at Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France. The Ginzler Studio Gallery is located in Boca Raton.
