Downtown Boca Launches Its Inaugural Holiday Window Contest for Downtown Businesses December 12 – December 31 BOCA RATON, FLORIDA (December 1, 2016) – The Boca Raton CRA (Downtown Boca) is launching an inaugural Downtown Boca Holiday Window Contest this holiday season. Decorated storefront window displays from a variety of businesses specifically located in the downtown district of the City of Boca Raton will be featured in the online contest. “We have a wonderful community of stores throughout downtown that celebrate the season with beautifully decorated storefronts, and we thought it would be great to show them off” said Ruby Childers, Downtown Manager for the City of Boca Raton. The contest will run from Monday, December 12 through Saturday, December 31. During this time, Downtown Boca will post a selection of photos of decorated downtown holiday windows to its Facebook page, encouraging the online community to vote on their favorite holiday window by “Liking” the individual photo. The business with the most “likes” at the end of the contest will be awarded "Downtown Boca Holiday Window Contest Winner" bragging rights, a business spotlight blog and free ad space on DowntownBoca.org. The goal in creating the contest was to highlight the variety of businesses and shops located in Downtown Boca and to drive awareness of and visitation to them amongst consumers through an interactive online promotion. The downtown district of Boca Raton is home to 75+ stores ranging from the anchor department store Lord & Taylor, to consignment shops, gift stores, art galleries, jewelry stores, apparel boutiques, salons and home décor. For information regarding the contest, merchants can contact Ileana Olmsted at 561-367-7070 or email [email protected].
