Summer Showcase 5x5 on view at Museum Art School June 2–July 6 The Boca Raton Museum Art School (bocamuseum.org/artschool) is initiating a new exhibit program to feature emerging artists who take classes at the Art School. The Art School offers classes for students of all levels, but the advanced classes sometimes operate more like ateliers where artists exchange ideas while pursuing their own art practice. The Summer Showcase 5x5 features outstanding artists of the Art School. Four painters and one photographer – Connie Commette, Stan Dornfest, Jody Grass, Lidia Robayna, and Jill Weintraub – have been invited to exhibit five artworks. The exhibit will be on view from June 2 to July 6. 2016. The meet-the-artists reception is Thursday, June 23, 5:30 – 7:30pm. Support for the Boca Raton Museum Art School is provided in part by the City of Boca Raton; the Board of County Commissioners, the Tourist Development Council and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County; the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture. Additional support is generously provided by our Members and Donors to the Museum’s artmatters educational initiatives. Please contact Kelsey Johnson for interviews with the artists or Art School Director Walter O’Neill.
