Heart of Boca Celebration June 19, 2015 - BOCA RATON, Fla. – Macedonia African Episcopal Church with Allegiance Home Health and Heartland Rehabilitation will partner for the Boca Raton Chamber’s Boca Festival Days. Elected officials, business, healthcare, and religious leaders will join together for The Heart of Boca designed to celebrate 100 years of Historic Pearl City and the oldest church in Boca Raton. This will be one of the featured events of Boca Festival Days and the one community constituents won’t want to miss! Come feel the Heart of Boca as Macedonia A.M.E. Church along with Allegiance Home Health will turn Heartland Rehabilitation into a 100 year celebration on Friday August 7, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Guests will enjoy delicious food and drinks while being entertained by musicians and the Boca Raton High School Step Team. Tickets in advance will be $25 per person or $30 at the door and includes all food, drinks and entertainment. WHEN: Friday, August 7 – TIME: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm WHERE: Heartland, 7225 Boca Del Mar Drive, Boca Raton, Florida 33433 WHY: Proceeds of the event will benefit the Macedonia A.M.E. Church, the oldest church in Boca Raton established in 1918 in the black settlement called Pearl City. The church is registered with the Historic Society as a Historic landmark and is in need of restoration. Macedonia A.M.E. Church’s motto is For With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible -Luke 1:37.
