Two Men And A Truck Wraps Up Movers for Moms® Drive to Help Mothers in Shelters Community-Supported Program Aids Moms in Crisis on Mother’s Day Greater Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida, March 8, 2014—Though Mother’s Day is intended to be a joyous occasion for women across the country, thousands of moms will be overlooked on this special holiday because they are forced to live in shelters as a result of domestic abuse or homelessness. As a way to show love and appreciation to mothers this Mother’s Day, the four franchises in the Greater Fort Lauderdale and South Palm Beach area; Two Men And A Truck Miramar, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton recently hosted its Movers for Moms® collection drive to provide critical gifts to local women staying at Women In Distress®. Working with leaders in the community, schools, chambers, banks and real estate offices- Two Men And A Truck® was able to collect over 500 items for Women In Distress®. Collecting essential items for these women such as brand new pillows, blankets and sheet sets, allows them to rest easy in a safe, comfortable, and clean environment. (Women In Distress® accepts new pillows and sheets and allows the women in their shelters to take them with them when they phase out.) “I want to once again thank Two Men And A Truck®, for your long time partnership with Women In Distress. The items you brought today will provide warmth and comfort to many of our participants! It truly is friends like you, who allow us to save so many lives!
