HADASSAH & MACY’S CELEBRATE WOMEN’S HEALTH BOYNTON BEACH – Hadassah Florida Atlantic and Macy’s at The Mall at Wellington Green celebrated Women’s Health with two hundred twenty women in the uniquely transformed setting of the stores furniture department on February 6, 2020. Welcomed by Sheila Glass – Hadassah Florida Atlantic President and Jill Davis - Event Chair, attendees listened as Hadassah National Vice President – Clara Gillman spoke about Gender Equity in Medical Research and the steps that Hadassah is taking to change gender disparities in medicine. A Silent Auction and Pick-a-Prize Drawings captured participants’ philanthropic generosity in between shopping forays in the store located at 10316 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington, FL. During the delicious luncheon, Leslie Adametz, Wellington Store Manager, Geoff Lieberman, Jensen Beach Store Manager and Christina Anderson, Macy’s Wellington Personal Stylist presented Hadassah with a generous grant donation for future Health & Wellness Advocacy Workshops. Jenny Cesar, a member of Congresswoman Lois Frankel Congressional Outreach Staff surprised the group with a Congressional Minute Presentation and Hadassah Day Proclamation. The Hadassah Florida Atlantic is home to 23,000 members and is part of Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc. (HWZOA). HWZOA is a leader in medical research and development evolving out of its hospitals in Israel that is shared with the world and strong proponent of domestic advocacy initiatives.
