(Boca Raton, FL) May, 2018 – Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church is hosting the second of a series of symposiums addressing our community’s Opioid Crisis. This symposium follows our first event held in April 2018.

A panel of experts in different related fields, will address the crisis from different angles; representatives from Federal, State and Local governments as well as input from Business, Medicine, Education, and Religious affiliations in the community.

The purpose of this symposium is to articulate, define and discuss community-based solutions which will attend to all levels of society in all age segments, especially the youth and the elderly. It is an opportunity to identify action steps to be implemented with clearly defined objectives and methodology.

This is a nonfaith-based symposium and it is open to the entire community. Participants of all ages are invited; middle school children are permitted to participate accompanied by a parent. Attendees are invited to attend the symposium on Wednesday, September 26th at 7pm in the Mercy Center at Saint Joan Catholic Church in Boca Raton.

Saint Joan of Arc is the downtown Boca Raton Catholic parish serving Catholics and their families since 1959. The parish also runs a Blue Ribbon school for grades K-8 which was established in 1960.
