The City of Boca Raton’s Recreation Services Department, in partnership with the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, invites the community to celebrate Independence Day at the annual Fabulous Fourth on Friday, July 4, 2025. This daylong citywide celebration features four exciting events across Boca Raton, culminating in a dazzling fireworks display over Countess de Hoernle Park. This year’s Fabulous Fourth continues a cherished tradition that began in 1958, bringing residents together through athletic competitions, family-friendly activities, and community pride. All events are open to the public, with free admission for most activities. The Fabulous Fourth Schedule of Events Includes: Firecracker 5K ?? 7:00 AM | Florida Atlantic University, 777 Glades Road Start your day with an energizing certified 5K run on FAU’s scenic campus. Registration ($40) includes a race shirt, finisher medal, and post-race snacks. Register online by July 1, 2025. Limited to 1,000 runners. Liberty Cup Racquet Tournament ?? 9:00 AM | Patch Reef Park & Boca Raton Racquet Center Compete in the inaugural Liberty Cup Pickleball and Tennis Tournament! Divisions are based on skill level. Registration is $20 and includes a participant shirt. No on-site registration will be available. Fabulous Fourth Block Party ?? 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail Enjoy a FREE afternoon of family fun featuring yard games, music, food trucks (for purchase), and crafts for kids (while supplies last). Fabulous Finale ?? 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM | Countess de Hoernle Park, 1000 Spanish River Blvd. End the night with a spectacular celebration featuring live music, delicious food trucks (for purchase), and a breathtaking 20-minute fireworks show at 9:10 PM. Parking: Free at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC). Walk the Liberty Trail or enjoy limited trolley service. Important Event Reminders: What to Bring: Reusable water bottles, blankets, lawn chairs What NOT to Bring: Pets, coolers, sparklers, fireworks, drones, alcohol, or glass bottles Traffic Notices: Spanish River Blvd. will experience congestion from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM; A1A closure at the Deerfield/Boca border from 7:00 PM through Deerfield Beach fireworks.
