Delray Beach Unites for Rock the Block 2025: A Celebration of Service and Community

More than 150 volunteers came together on May 31 for Rock the Block 2025, a cherished Delray Beach tradition since 1989. Hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County, the event was held in partnership with the City of Delray Beach, Delray Beach CRA, and Neighborhood and Community Services.

Set in a local Delray Beach neighborhood, the event embodied unity, pride, and purpose as volunteers rolled up their sleeves to revitalize nine homes—painting exteriors and helping homeowners maintain the value of their greatest investment.

“With another Rock the Block complete, we have yet another example of what we can achieve when we come together,” said Renée A. Jadusingh, Executive Director, Delray Beach CRA. “We are so grateful for each and every volunteer, partner, and resident who came out on Saturday to support Rock the Block. The event shows our collective dedication to improving our community and the lives of the residents in The Set."

Each brushstroke was part of a larger mission: to empower residents, promote neighborhood stability, and strengthen the sense of belonging that makes Delray Beach so special.

“The Annual Rock the Block event held on this past Saturday, May 31st generated positive feedback amongst our Delray Beach Community residents and volunteers all across Palm Beach County,” shared Terra D. Couzens, Neighborhood Planner, City of Delray Beach/NCS. “The event brought such a strong sense of unity and partnership in the neighborhoods that radiated from block to block! Rock the Block continues to serve as the perfect opportunity to partner with the amazing team over at Habitat for Humanity, the CRA, and provide such a genuine, lasting impact on the community. It speaks volumes and supports the Habitat mission of bringing people together to build communities and hope! Thank you to each and every staff member that made this event possible!”

The success of Rock the Block 2025 would not have been possible without the generous support of the following sponsors:

Foundation Builder Sponsor: Vertical Bridge; Home Builder Sponsors: ABC Supply Co Inc., The Boca Raton Bowl, The Seagate; Exclusive Radio Sponsor: X 102.3 / Hubbard Radio; Community Builder Sponsor: Enterprise Mobility; Hope Builder Sponsors: Grimes Events & Party Tents, Humana; Annual Security Sponsor: Magen Protective Services; Media Sponsor: The Palm Beach Post / LocaliQ; Water Sponsor: Tree of Life, Coffee & Breakfast Sponsor: Starbucks, and Energy Drink Sponsor: C4 Energy.

“Rock the Block is more than just a beautification effort,” said Jennifer Thomason, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County. “It’s about building community, fostering connections, and showing homeowners that they’re supported and valued. We’re deeply grateful to every volunteer, sponsor, and partner who made this day possible. Their generosity and heart are what truly bring our mission to life.”
