Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County (HFHGPBC) proudly hosted the inaugural Habitat Homeowner Family Reunion on May 3, at Harold Grimes Memorial Park in Lake Worth Beach. Sponsored by Vertical Bridge and co-hosted by Leadership Palm Beach County, this family-friendly event brought together Habitat families, supporters, and friends for an afternoon of community and celebration. “Seeing so many Habitat families come together, reconnect, and reflect on their journeys was incredibly meaningful,” said Jennifer Thomason, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County. “This reunion was our way of honoring their achievements and the strong community we’ve built together.” Families who have achieved the dream of homeownership through Habitat’s mission had the opportunity to reconnect and reflect on the life-changing impact of safe, affordable housing. Guests enjoyed delicious BBQ, face-painting, bounce houses, raffles, and snow cones as they celebrated the Habitat community. The Habitat Homeowner Family Reunion was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Vertical Bridge; a dedicated Habitat sponsor and partner committed to building brighter futures for nearly a decade. “As a longstanding partner of Habitat for Humanity, Vertical Bridge was proud to support The Habitat Homeowner Family Reunion as part of our continued commitment to providing housing and opportunity in our local communities,” said Ron Bizick, CEO of Vertical Bridge. The event was also made possible through a collaboration with Leadership Palm Beach County. Members of the Engage Class of 2025 worked closely with Habitat to plan and host the afternoon celebration. “The inaugural Home Sweet Home Family Reunion was a true collaboration between Leadership Palm Beach County and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County,” said Matthew Lenihan, member of the Engage Class of 2025. “As part of Leadership Palm Beach County, our team worked closely with Habitat to plan this event and create an experience that brought people together to celebrate community and connection.” With 438 affordable homes built and 783 existing homes revitalized in Palm Beach County, HFHGPBC is proud to celebrate the families whose lives have been transformed through its work. This special event offered an opportunity to reconnect with homeowners — marking the start of what promises to be a meaningful new tradition.
