In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Addison, one of South Florida’s most iconic and architecturally significant landmarks, has launched the 100 Years, $100K Giving Initiative, awarding $100,000 in grants to ten local nonprofits across Palm Beach and Broward counties.
“The Addison has always been rooted in service — not just to our guests, but to the community,” said Zoe Lanham, Vice President of the Addison. “As we celebrate 100 years of history, we’re proud to give back in a way that amplifies the mission-driven work of our local nonprofits. These grants are about legacy, impact, and shaping the next 100 years together.”
Each selected nonprofit will receive a $10,000 grant to be applied to a signature fundraising or awareness event at the Addison in 2025.

Grant recipients will be formally announced at a special celebration on Tuesday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the Addison. Designed in 1925 by famed architect Addison Mizner, the Addison was originally created as the headquarters for the Mizner Development Corporation and featured Mizner’s personal sales offices, drafting rooms, a private apartment, and a restaurant. The building itself was modeled after Spanish painter El Greco’s home in Toledo, Spain, and is widely considered one of Mizner’s favorite architectural creations.
Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Addison has been fully restored as a historic event venue and remains a beloved symbol of Boca Raton’s heritage. It is frequently recognized as South Florida’s premier destination for weddings, galas, and community events.
This year, the City of Boca Raton is also celebrating its 100th anniversary, with its official Centennial Gala to be held at the Addison on November 8, 2025 — further cementing the venue’s role in honoring and preserving the city’s cultural legacy.
