Storm Smart, Florida’s leading provider of hurricane protection solutions, has donated approximately 300 impact window units — valued at $240,000 — to Habitat for Humanity affiliates to support Florida families in need. The donation was handed over at an event held earlier today at the Storm Smart warehouse in Fort Myers. “Storm Smart has spent decades helping Florida homeowners protect their families and property from extreme weather, but we recognize that for many, cost can be a barrier to securing the protection they need,” said Scot Burris, chief executive officer at Storm Smart. “This donation is our way of bridging that gap: providing high-quality impact windows at a lower cost while directly funding Habitat’s mission to build stronger communities. We’re proud to stand alongside Habitat to create safer, more resilient homes for Florida communities.” The donated windows will benefit three Habitat for Humanity affiliates, including: - Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties - Habitat for Humanity of Manatee County - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County The impact windows will be available for purchase at discounted prices at the following Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations: - North Fort Myers (31 Willis Rd.) - Bradenton (5108 15th St E.) - Delray Beach (1900 North Federal Highway) - Greenacres (4639 Lake Worth Rd.) All proceeds directly support Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes throughout Florida. “At Habitat, our mission is not only to build homes but to create long-term stability for families. By providing affordable impact windows, we’re offering a solution that protects families from the extreme weather we regularly face in Florida,” said Stephanie Davis, procurement director at Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties. “The proceeds from these sales will help us build more affordable homes, creating a stronger foundation for future generations. This partnership with Storm Smart is about more than just the immediate protection — it’s about building a future of resilience and safety for our communities.” Photos and videos from the donation handoff are available for download here.
