Plans for New Tax Collector Service Center Approved Construction of new building on PGA Boulevard to begin July 2019 West Palm Beach, Fla. – Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon today announced the Palm Beach Gardens City Council approved plans for the agency’s new service center on PGA Boulevard. Council members approved the site plan for the new building at the June 6, 2019 council meeting. The City Council’s approval gives Gannon the permission she needs to demolish the former DMV building and begin construction of the new service center which will be located at 3185 PGA Boulevard. The $6 million project is expected to begin in July and will take approximately 15 months to complete. The old DMV building will be replaced with a new state-of-the-art facility that will combine all tax collector services under one roof. Today clients who are required to take a driving test to obtain a Florida driver license must visit two locations for service – the current office in the North County Courthouse and the driving course at the former DMV site. Upon completion, the Tax Collector’s Office will move from the North County Courthouse and offer all services at the new building. “Splitting our driver license services between two locations is not ideal for our clients,” said Gannon. “I am excited about the new building because it will allow us to provide a convenient one-stop shop for our clients. They will be able to come to one location for all services this agency provides.” For the latest updates about this project, please visit www.pbctax.com and follow the Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s Office on Twitter and Instagram (@TAXPBC). # # #
