Two South Florida Stages to Showcase Four Thrilling Exclusive Engagement Concerts! Florrie Morgenstern, Spanish River Concerts’ Artistic Director, anticipates a blockbuster season, with something for everyone. “We are in a period of exciting and wonderful transition,” said Morgenstern. “Spanish River Concerts has undergone a name change from its 13-year highly successful run as Community Performing Arts and is now relaunched as a non-profit with a new name and mission geared towards an even wider audience.” American Rustic opens the Spanish River Concerts season on January 7 with a fabulous cast of authentic Country/Folk musicians and two fantastic Nashville singers – Emily West (finalist, America’s Got Talent) and Patrick Thomas (Season 1 of The Voice). This original production features selections from Folk, Country, and Folk-Rock icons including Peter, Paul, and Mary, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and many more. David D’or, famed Israeli countertenor, stars in an exclusive U.S. Engagement with Spanish River Concerts, starting in late January. D’or has an incredible 4-octave vocal range, and 15 gold and platinum albums to his credit. He will be backed by a full orchestra and welcomes special guest Soprano Betty Lipska to share the stage with him to perform Hebrew, English, Yiddish, and International favorites. A quirky, retro trip through 50 years of iconic hits, featuring fabulous singers - Rebecca Grant, Jillian Jensen and Adam Levy, who perform in visually stunning vignettes. This concert showcases popular songs you adore, which have been re-stylized in ways that will make you fall in love with the music all over again. “This may be our most contemporary show ever, but we know our long-time subscribers will love it, too,” said Morgenstern. “I believe it will appeal to music lovers of all ages because, in very unique ways, it breathes new life into a great collection of familiar hits. Four Best Men completes the season with four of the most loved and requested tenors in Spanish River Concerts’ history – Daniel Montenegro, Marc Devigne, Omer Shaish, and David Burnham join forces to create an evening of Broadway, Opera, and Popular favorites.
