About Kathryn:
Kathryn Dye is a Senior International Trade Specialist for the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce and provides one-on-one international trade consulting to firms throughout south Florida. Ms. Dye joined the U.S. Department of Commerce in 1999 and specializes in assisting firms in aviation/aerospace, safety/security, and franchising. She is an active member of the trade community and serves on the U.S. Commercial Service’s global aerospace, security, and franchising teams, bringing cutting-edge worldwide information and opportunities to Florida firms in these industries.
Ms. Dye regularly consults firms varying in size, objective, and market interest. She actively assists new export and experienced export firms in developing international strategies and penetrating new markets. As an active member of the South Florida trade community, she is extremely aware of the importance of exports to one’s economic community and the stability of area firms.
Through the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service support of area trade organizations, Ms. Dye has introduced foreign trade delegations to U.S. suppliers, developed export readiness training programs for inexperienced exporters, coordinated industry trade missions, and created numerous industry related programs and trainings. Dye previously led the Commercial Service’s Aerospace/Defense Team and currently serves on the U.S. Commercial Service aerospace, security, and franchising teams, bringing cutting edge worldwide information and opportunities to Florida firms in these industries.
Ms. Dye is an alumnus of the State University of New York at Buffalo, with a B.A. in Geography and a certificate of specialized study in International Trade
