The Foundation funds scholarships, grants, equipment for university level maritime education and certificate level training in the Caribbean.  Scholarships are extended to students seeking bachelor’s degrees and who are attending or planning to attend the primary maritime training institution in the Caribbean, Caribbean Maritime University (Jamaica).  ACMF scholarship recipients study shipping and logistics, mechatronics, engineering, marine bio technology, customs, cyber security, and navigation.  ACMF also gives grants to students in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana who are interested in being certified to work in the oil and gas sector.  University graduates certified workers are equipped to work internationally, and they are recruited by the cruise, cargo, and oil/gas industries.
