Tax Collector’s Office Honored for Communications Excellence West Palm Beach, Fla. – Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon today announced her agency was honored for excellence in communications by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Palm Beach chapter at its annual PRSA Palm Awards Celebration Luncheon held on February 28, 2019. The event honors organizations and individuals for excellence in communications and public relations. The Tax Collector’s Office earned top honors in three categories: • Best Newsletter – “Tax Talk with Anne Gannon” The monthly newsletter educates clients about tax collector services, important tax deadlines and other agency news. Tax Talk is distributed by email and online at www.pbctax.com. • Best Multicultural Campaign – “Welcome!?¡Bienvenido!?Bienvenue!” The Tax Collector’s Office relies on client feedback to help assess its performance and better understand clients’ needs. In 2018, the agency developed new surveys in three languages (English, Spanish and Creole) to obtain feedback from a wider population of Palm Beach County taxpayers. • Best Special Event (2 or more days) – “Recognizing Our Agency’s Superheroes” This employee communications campaign was designed to reinforce the agency’s core values and provided opportunities for employee recognition. “These three awards showcase the excellent work we are doing communicating with our clients and our employees,” said Gannon. “I am also proud to be recognized for listening to our clients by gathering their feedback in three languages.” Winners of the 2018 Palm Awards were selected by an independent panel of judges from the PRSA New Orleans Chapter.
