Two South Florida Stages to Showcase Four Thrilling Exclusive Engagement Concerts!

Newly Launched Spanish River Concerts Dazzles with a Spectacular Mix of International
and Home-grown Stars

Spanish River Concerts, 2019 Season: An exclusive U.S. engagement with Israel’s acclaimed countertenor David D’or, a master vocalist with a 4-octave range, accompanied by a full orchestra, and joined by special guest Soprano Betty Lipska; American Rustic a nostalgic production featuring memorable lyrics of Peter Paul and Mary, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby Stills and Nash, and more; Four Best Men starring amazing tenors Daniel Montenegro, Marc Devigne, Omer Shaish, and David Burnham, featuring a great mix of Broadway, Opera and Popular selections; Vintage Reflections a showcase of stunning live vignettes – a tribute to the musical genius of Scott Bradlee’s viral YouTube sensation: Postmodern Jukebox.

Florrie Morgenstern, Spanish River Concerts’ Artistic Director, anticipates a blockbuster season, with something for everyone. “We are in a period of exciting and wonderful transition,” said Morgenstern. “Spanish River Concerts has undergone a name change from its 13-year highly successful run as Community Performing Arts and is now relaunched as a non-profit with a new name and mission geared towards an even wider audience.”

American Rustic opens the Spanish River Concerts season on January 7 with a fabulous cast of authentic Country/Folk musicians and two fantastic Nashville singers – Emily West (finalist, America’s Got Talent) and Patrick Thomas (Season 1 of The Voice). This original production features selections from Folk, Country, and Folk-Rock icons including Peter, Paul, and Mary, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and many more.

David D’or, famed Israeli countertenor, stars in an exclusive U.S. Engagement with Spanish River Concerts, starting in late January. D’or has an incredible 4-octave vocal range, and 15 gold and platinum albums to his credit. He will be backed by a full orchestra and welcomes special guest Soprano Betty Lipska to share the stage with him to perform Hebrew, English, Yiddish, and International favorites.

Vintage Reflections is a tribute to the quirky genius of arranger and pianist Scott Bradlee, whose Postmodern Jukebox has amassed over a billion YouTube views. This Spanish River Concerts original production is based upon a similar concept — re-stylizing popular songs of the last 50 years to create a beautifully compelling blend of familiar and new.

“This may be our most contemporary show ever, but we know our long-time subscribers will love it, too,” said Morgenstern. “I believe it will appeal to music lovers of all ages because, in very unique ways, it breathes new life into a great collection of familiar hits. We are working with brilliant Israeli producer, Tomer Adaddi, virtuoso musicians, and three fabulous singers, one of whom actually tours with Postmodern Jukebox.

Four Best Men completes the season with four of the most loved and requested tenors in Spanish River Concerts’ history – Daniel Montenegro, Marc Devigne, Omer Shaish, and David Burnham join forces to create an evening of Broadway, Opera, and Popular favorites. These four artists have individually thrilled audiences around the globe; but now, together, they set the bar even higher! Four seating tiers are available: Premier, Preferred, Standard, and Value. These concerts are presented at Spanish River Church, 2400 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, and Kings Point Theatre at 7000 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach.
